I designed a book for artist Toby Christian. His work clean and his ideas are communicated in an understated and straightforward way. To compliment this I wanted to create a simple and well executed object. A plain white slipcase hides ‘Tide drawing’ on the book’s cover.

Launched to coincide with his first solo exhibition at Fold Gallery, the book documents the works from the show and a selection of older pieces to give a sense of how he arrived at this point. Coline Milliard, co-curator of the show, wrote an essay, Tania Kovats contributed a text about her favourite lines and there is a conversation between Toby and Brian Griffiths.
